JEFFERSON CHARLES BEEKER

Jefferson was born and raised in Washington, D.C. and grew up with a keen interest in theatre and government, as well as a passion for American History.  Growing up in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) his family have been members of the denomination for six generations.

Jefferson joined the ministerial staff of the First Christian Church of North Hollywood, California in 2006 and has recently become Minister of Evangelism and Membership Development.  He has been assisting in the four weekly English language worship services as well as in the planning of additional programs and ministries.  Previously Jefferson directed the Youth Program at the Hollywood-Beverly Christian Church in Hollywood, California, which included a summer theatre program for youth and he served in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) Regional Office for the Pacific Southwest Region, assisting the Senior Associate Regional Minister.  Jefferson studied at the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre in New York after attending Montgomery College in Rockville, Maryland and Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas.

*Trivia point:  The First Christian Church of North Hollywood is frequently used in motion pictures and television, most notably the TV series 7th Heaven, as well as the new.Indiana Jones film.
